The SSC Selection Post Phase 14 (2026) is a major recruitment drive filling 2,919 revised vacancies across various Central Government departments. This phase is unique as it offers opportunities for candidates at three distinct levels: Matriculation (10th), Higher Secondary (10+2), and Graduation. The application window is active until May 4, 2026, with the Computer-Based Examination (CBT) tentatively scheduled for June 2026.
While the exam subjects are the same for everyone, the difficulty level and syllabus depth are specific to each tier:
Matriculation Level: Focuses on basic 10th-grade topics like Arithmetic, basic English grammar, and general observation.
Higher Secondary (10+2) Level: Includes intermediate topics such as Algebra, Geometry, and slightly more advanced reasoning (similar to SSC CHSL).
Graduation Level: Features high-difficulty questions including Trigonometry, Statistics, and complex reading comprehension (similar to SSC CGL).
All levels follow a 100-question objective format (200 marks) with a 0.50 negative marking for wrong answers.
However, the 2026 cycle introduces a Sectional Timer:
Total Duration: 60 Minutes.
Sectional Limit: Each of the four sections (Reasoning, GK, Maths, English) now has a strict 15-minute timer. Once the 15 minutes expire, the section locks automatically, and you must move to the next.
Application Guide:
New OTR: Candidates must register on the new SSC portal (ssc.gov.in). Old registrations from the previous website are no longer valid.
Live Photo: The application requires a live photograph captured via webcam or the SSC app. Do not use pre-saved photos.
Correction Window: If you make an error, a correction window will be open from May 11 to May 13, 2026.
