The Jail Department of Rajasthan is responsible for keeping the prisoners in safe and humane custody and providing them with work and self-improvement opportunities. The department conducts recruitment for various posts such as Jail Prahari. The selection process consisted of a written exam and a physical efficiency test. The candidates who qualified for the written exam were called for the physical test, which had different criteria for male and female candidates. The age limit for Jail Prahari is between 18 to 26 years. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC, ST, and OBC candidates and by 10 years for female candidates. The educational qualification for Jail Prahari is a minimum class 10th pass or equivalent from a recognized board or institution.

Enrolled candidates will have to attempt an objective examination which will be conducted offline. The total number of questions is 100. Each question carries 4 marks for the correct answer and there is 1 mark negative marking for the wrong answer. The exam duration is 120 minutes.
