    Overview

    The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has initiated the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Undergraduate Recruitment 2025 under Centralized Employment Notification (CEN) 07/2025. This recruitment drive aims to fill various non-technical posts at Pay Levels 2 and 3 of the 7th Central Pay Commission, specifically targeting candidates who have completed the 12th standard. The mode of application is strictly online, and the selection process is conducted nationwide across different Railway Recruitment Boards. The selection involves a multi-stage process to ensure the recruitment of suitable candidates for clerical and operational roles within the Indian Railways.

    Eligibility

    Age Limit (as of January 1, 2026):

    The age of the applicants must be between 18 and 30 years. 

    Age relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC-NCL, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen, as per the rules of the Government of India.

    However, the relaxation in upper age limit / maximum upper age for the categories/communities is given as indicated in the notification, please see the official notification.

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    For Level 3 Posts: 

    12th(+2Stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability/Ex-servicemen and candidates Who possess qualifications higher than 12th (+2stage).

    For Level 2 Posts: 

    12th (+2Stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability/Ex-servicemen and candidates who possess qualifications higher than 12th (+2stage).Typing proficiency in English / Hindi on Computer is essential (Typing skill not required for Trains Clerk).

    Vacancy Details

    A total of 3,058 vacancies have been announced for the Undergraduate Level posts (Pay Levels 2 and 3) across all Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs).

    Application Fee

    Application Fee:

    Fee all candidates: Rs. 500/-

    Note: - Out of this fee of Rs 500 an amount of Rs 400 shall be refunded in due course duly deducting bank charges as applicable on appearing in CBT

    For PwBD / Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class: Rs. 250/- 

    Note:- This fee of Rs 250 shall be refunded in due course duly deducting bank charges as applicable on appearing in CBT.

    Mode of Payment:

    Fee can be paid by the candidates through ON LINE mode only. There will be no option to pay fee through any other mode.

    How to Apply

    The application process is conducted online only through the official RRB application portal (rrbapply.gov.in) or the respective regional RRB websites.

    Registration: Candidates must first complete a new registration by providing their basic details, including an active mobile number and email ID, to generate a unique registration ID.

    Form Filling: After registration, log in to the portal and meticulously fill out the application form with personal, educational, and contact details. Crucially, candidates must select their preferred RRB zone and post choices in the order of priority.

    Document Upload: Scanned copies of the candidate's passport-size photograph and signature, along with necessary reservation certificates (if applicable), must be uploaded as per the specified guidelines.

    Fee Payment: The application fee must be paid online. The fee is ₹500 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, with a refund of ₹400 upon appearing for CBT-I. For SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Female candidates, the fee is ₹250, which is fully refundable upon appearing for CBT-I.

    Submission: After verifying all the information and successfully paying the fee, the form must be submitted. A printout of the final application should be retained for future reference.
