The OSSSC Combined Recruitment Examination (CRE) 2025 is a major state-level selection drive conducted to fill 5,012 district-cadre posts across Group B and Group C designations. The recruitment covers key positions including Village Agricultural Worker (VAW), Junior Assistant (JA), Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI), Amin, Statistical Field Surveyor (SFS), Revenue Inspector (RI), and ICDS Supervisor. Selection relies on a single 100-mark objective written examination (MCQ/CBRE) covering Mathematics, General Studies, English, Odia Language, Basic Computers, and Logical Reasoning within a 90-minute timeframe. A 0.25 negative marking penalty applies for incorrect answers, with minimum qualifying scores set at 35% for General/SEBC and 30% for SC/ST candidates. Candidates who qualify the written exam proceed to a 50-mark Practical Computer Skill Test, which is purely qualifying in nature (requiring a minimum of 40%). Final district-wise merit rankings are determined solely by performance in the 100-mark written test, with no application fee charged to candidates.

1. Educational Qualification:

Higher Secondary (10+2 Level): Intermediate / 10+2 (or equivalent Engineering Diploma) from a recognized board/council. Applies to ARI, Amin, SFS, and VAW posts.

Graduate Level: Bachelor’s Degree (+3) in Arts, Science, Commerce, or any equivalent discipline from a recognized university. Applies to RI, Junior Assistant (JA), and ICDS Supervisor posts.

Mandatory Prerequisites: Basic Computer Knowledge across all posts, and ability to read, write, and speak Odia (having passed Odia in Middle School / Class 7 or equivalent).

2. Overall Age Eligibility (as on 01/01/2025):

General / Unreserved (Minimum Age):

20 Years Minimum: For Revenue Inspector (RI), Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI), and Amin.

21 Years Minimum: For Junior Assistant (JA), Village Agricultural Worker (VAW), Statistical Field Surveyor (SFS), and ICDS Supervisor.

General / Unreserved (Maximum Age): 42 Years across all posts.

3. Upper Age Relaxation Rules:

SC, ST, SEBC Candidates: Up to 47 Years (+5 years relaxation).

Women Candidates: Up to 47 Years (+5 years relaxation) across generic posts.

Anganwadi Workers (for ICDS Supervisor): Up to 47 Years (+5 years relaxation).

Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD): Up to 52 Years (+10 years relaxation).
