The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान संस्थान), commonly known as the Pusa Institute, is India's National Institute for agricultural research, education, and extension. IARI is under the Administrative control of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, DARE, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi. The ICAR conducts the Exam to select eligible candidates for the positions of Assistant across India. For the ICAR (IARI) Assistant exam, applicants should be from 20 years to 30 years and have a Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent. Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the ICAR (IARI) Assistant exam online using the official website. The exam of ICAR (IARI) Assistant exam is divided into three phases - the preliminary exam, the Mains exam, and the Computer Proficiency test. Applicants who pass these exams will be posted as Assistants in various branches of the ICAR Headquarters. ICAR (IARI) Assistant exam syllabus for preliminary examination contains the English Language, Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. While the Mains exam contains two papers i.e Paper I and Paper-II. The mains Paper-I examination syllabus includes Quantitative Abilities and English Language & Comprehension. The mains Paper-II examination syllabus includes Descriptive Paper in English or Hindi of Essay Writing / Precis / Letter/ Application etc. Applications must pay Rs. 1200 for All categories of candidates and Rs. 500 for SC/ ST/ PWD/female candidates to fill out the application form.
