The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Cell conducts the OJEE B.Tech Lateral Entry Examination for the fresh admission of candidates in the second year B.Tech courses. According to the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Cell (OJEE) Exam Pattern, the Online Computer-based exam will be conducted for a total of 480 marks of 120 questions with a total time of 120 minutes. There shall be 4 marks for correct answers and 1 mark negative marking for wrong answers.
For the OJEE B.Tech Lateral Entry exam, candidates must have passed a three-year diploma in Engineering/ Technology from the State Council of Technical Education and Training (SCTE & VT), Odisha or from an AICTE approved Institute / from a recognized University with at least 45% marks in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology. However, the minimum percentage mark in the case of SC/ST candidates is 40%. Other than this, candidates appearing in the three-year diploma are also eligible to apply.
The syllabus of the OJEE B.Tech Lateral Entry Examination contains Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Mechanics and Basic Electrical Engineering. To fill the application form for OJEE B.Tech Lateral Entry, the candidates have to pay a requisite application fee which has been set up by the exam conducting authority.
