JKSSB - Sub Inspector- 2024: Notification, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Vacancy, Important Dates

The JKSSB Sub-Inspector (Police) Recruitment 2024 (Advt. No. 02/2024) is a direct selection drive by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board to fill 669 vacancies in the J&K Police. Applicants must be J&K domiciles with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and aged 18 to 28 years as of January 1, 2024 (up to 30 years for in-service police personnel). The selection process follows a four-stage system comprising an objective written exam (120 questions/2 hours), a Physical Standard Test (PST), a Physical Endurance Test (PET), and document verification with a medical examination. Bonus weightage of up to 5% is granted to NCC certificate holders during final merit evaluation.

1. Educational Qualification:

Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institution approved by the UGC or Government regulatory bodies.

2. Age Limit (as on 01 January 2024):

General / Reserved Categories (OM, SC, ST-1, ST-2, OBC, RBA, ALC/IB, EWS): 18 to 28 years (Born between 01-01-1996 and 01-01-2006).

In-Service Police Personnel: Upper age limit relaxed up to 30 years (Born between 01-01-1994 and 01-01-2006).

Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation permitted by deducting military service duration from actual age.
