A total of 1867 HPSSSB vacancies for the positions of Junior Office Assistant (IT) were announced. To be eligible for this HPSSSB Junior Office Assistant (IT) exams recruitment, candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 45 as of Jan 1, 2020, and 10+2 exam from a recognized Board of School Education or University. OR Matriculation from a recognised Board of School Education. Candidates who apply for the HPSSSB Junior Office Assistant (IT) recruitment will have to go through these selection processes: Written Examination and Evaluation. The HPSSSB Junior Office Assistant (IT) exams written exam will consist of two different papers: Technical Subject/ Concerned Subject/ Current Affairs, Social Science, Logic, General Hindi General Knowledge including General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh, & General English of Matric standard. Essential Educational Qualifications for HPSSSB Junior Office Assistant (IT):
(A) Applicants must have passed the 10+2 exam from a recognized Board of School Education or University. OR Matriculation from a recognised Board of School Education, plus a one/two-year Diploma or Certificate from an ITI in IT (Information Technology) & ITES (Information Technology Enabled Sectors), as notified by the Director-General of Employment & Training (Govt. of India) from time to time OR Three-year diploma in information technology (IT)/ computer science/ computer engineering from a Polytechnic recognized by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).
(B) Typing speed on a computer is 30 words per minute and 25 words per minute in English and Hindi respectively.
Age limit (as on 01 Jan 2020):
The age limit of the applicants should be between 18 years to 45 years.
Age Relaxation:
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Classes, Persons with Disabilities, and Children/Grand Children of Freedom Fighters of Himachal Pradesh had their upper age limit relaxed by 05 years. Ex-servicemen applicants in Himachal Pradesh are also eligible for upper age relaxation under the requirements of relevant Himachal Pradesh Government rules/instructions.
