The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is a state-level entrance examination administered by the Board of School Education, Haryana, Bhiwani. It is organized to assess the candidates' aptitude and ability to meet the growing challenges of teaching at the Secondary, Elementary, and Senior Secondary levels. Those who are seeking teaching jobs in Government schools of Haryana must take the HTET exam. Candidates between the ages of 18 and 38 are eligible to apply for the HTET exam. The candidates can give as many attempts as it takes them to clear the exam. Candidates must have relevant education qualifications with 50% passing marks to be eligible for the exam. HTET consists of 3 Level Exam i.e level 1, level 2, and level 3. The Level 1 Exam is for Primary Teachers, the Level 2 Exam is for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) and the Level 3 Exam is for Postgraduate Trained Teachers (PGT). The Level 1 Exam contains Child Development and Pedagogy, Languages (Hindi and English), General Studies, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. The Level 2 and the Level 3 contains Child Development and Pedagogy, Languages (Hindi and English), General Studies and Subject Specific questions.
To fill the application form for HTET, the candidates have to pay a requisite application fee which has been set up by the exam conducting authority.
