World's largest integrated renewable energy storage project to be set up in Andhra Pradesh

  • Hyderabad-based renewable energy player Greenko Group has set the ball rolling for the construction of the world’s largest and first-of-its-kind single location, integrated renewable energy storage project (IRESP).
  • The project at Gummitham Tanda in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh will be completed by 2023 at an investment of $3 billion.
  • The project will be spread over 15,000 acres.
  • The project would help avoid emission of 15 million tonnes of CO2 annually (equivalent to emissions from 3 million cars).
