  • World Asthma Day is observed every year on the first Tuesday of May (7th May 2024).
  • World Asthma Day is observed on the first Tuesday of May each year. It's a global initiative organized by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) to raise awareness about asthma and improve asthma care around the world. 
  • The day aims to educate people about asthma, its causes, symptoms, and treatment options, as well as to support individuals living with asthma to lead a full and active life. 
  • It also serves as an opportunity to promote asthma prevention and control measures and advocate for better policies and resources for asthma management globally.
  • This year's theme, chosen by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA), is "Asthma Education Empowers".
