World Alzheimer's Day - 21 September

·         World Alzheimer's Day is observed on 21 September during World Alzheimer's Month.

·         On World Alzheimer's Day, health organizations around the world focus their efforts on raising awareness of the disease.

·         Alzheimer's is a progressive brain disorder. Alzheimer's disease was first diagnosed in 1906.

·         Alzheimer's disease International celebrated its 10th anniversary in 1994. As part of that celebration, the association established World Alzheimer's Day to be observed on 21 September each year.
