  • Vice President Venkaiah Naidu unveiled the statue of former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on Anna Salai in Chennai.
  • The statue is of 16-foot and installed on a pedestal at the Government Omandurar Hospital.
  • Karunanidhi is yet again set to get a place back on the pedestal on Anna Salai after 35 years since AIADMK supporters vandalized the statue on Anna Salai at the time of former CM MGR's death in 1987.
