Uttrakhand CM Dhami announces Ganga, Sharda river corridors to boost tourism

  • Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced a plan to develop religious corridors along the banks of the Ganga and Sharda rivers in Uttarakhand. 
  • Under this project, a riverfront will be developed along the Sharda River to promote religious and cultural tourism, which will include beautification of riverfront ghats and providing various facilities for tourists and devotees.
  • The main objective of the Sharda and Ganga Corridor is to further promote religious tourism in the state, strengthen the local economy, and provide convenience to the pilgrims.
