  • यह प्रधानमंत्री टीबी मुक्त भारत अभियान के तहत एक पहल है।
  • सुश्री मलिक, जिन्होंने विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं में 23 अंतर्राष्ट्रीय खेल पदक जीते हैं, ने कहा कि वह खुद पिछले 23 वर्षों से विभिन्न स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं के बावजूद हार नहीं मानने का एक उदाहरण हैं।
  • दीपा मलिक ने मार्च 2018 में प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा शुरू किए गए टीबी मुक्त भारत (टीबी मुक्त भारत) अभियान के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त की।
  • यह कार्यक्रम 2025 तक टीबी उन्मूलन के उद्देश्य से प्रधानमंत्री टीबी मुक्त भारत अभियान की दिशा में लाया गया था।
  • भारत में तपेदिक (टीबी) के केस दुनिया में सबसे अधिक है, अनुमानित 2.6 मिलियन लोग इस बीमारी से पीड़ित हैं और लगभग 4 मिलियन हर साल इससे मर जाते हैं।
