  • The conference was jointly organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
  • It also aims to create a strong ecosystem for setting up compressed biogas plants.
  • The conference was inaugurated by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
  • Galvanizing Organic Bio-Agro Resources Fund is a comprehensive initiative of the Government of India.
  • The objective of this initiative is to convert 'waste to wealth' and create a strong ecosystem for setting up biogas/compressed biogas/bio-compressed natural gas.
