  • Bharti Enterprises founder and chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal has become the first Indian citizen to be knighted by Britain's King Charles III. 
  • This title has been given to him for his contribution to strengthening business relations between India and Britain. 
  • The award confers on Mr. Mittal the title of Knight Commander, the most prestigious award of the British Empire.
