Sumant Sinha appointed co-chair of global CEO climate alliance

  • Sumant Sinha, Chairman and CEO of ReNew Energy Global PLC, has been appointed as co-chair of the Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders worldwide, after serving as Co-Chair of the India chapter since 2022.
  • The Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders, founded by the World Economic Forum in 2014, is the largest CEO-led climate alliance globally, comprising 130 CEOs from 12 industries across 26 countries, representing USD 4 trillion in revenues and 5.2 Gigatonnes of carbon emissions, about 10% of global emissions.
  • The Alliance aims to create a powerful network of business leaders committed to climate action, setting ambitious targets for reducing carbon emissions and fostering public-private collaboration in the global energy transition.
