Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty win Swiss Open doubles title

  • The dynamic doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won the men’s doubles title after defeating Ren Xiangyu and Tan Qiang at the Swiss Open Super Series 300 badminton tournament.
  • Satwik and Chirag won the doubles title, beating Ren Xiang Yu an Tang Qiang of China in straight games.
  • It was Satwik and Chirag's first title in Basel and their first one on the tour since their French Open Super 750 triumph in October 2022.
  • Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty have won three more titles on the BWF World Tour before this with them having won the India Open and French Open last year to go with the Thailand Open in 2019. 
  • They were the only ones in medal contention in this event, with others eliminated in earlier rounds itself.
