  • भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने बैंकिंग विनियमन अधिनियम, 1949 (अधिनियम) की धारा 19 (2) का उल्लंघन करने के लिए भारतीय स्टेट बैंक के खिलाफ 1 करोड़ रुपये के मौद्रिक दंड की घोषणा की है। 
  • आरबीआई ने अपनी जांच में पाया कि एसबीआई ने लोन लेने वाली कंपनी में जरूरत से ज्यादा शेयर हासिल किया है। 
  • लोन के बदले कंपनी ने बैंक को शेयर की पेशकश की थी। 
  • किसी भी बैंक के लिए प्लेजिंग की लिमिट पेड-अप शेयर कैपिटल का अधिकतम 30 फीसदी तक हो सकती है।
