  • Recently, the Uttar Pradesh government has presented a supplementary budget of Rs 28,760 crore in the Assembly.
  • This budget was presented in the Assembly by Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna.
  • In the supplementary budget, expenditure on revenue account is Rs 19,046 crore and expenditure on capital account is Rs 9,714 crore.
  • Rs 50 crore have been allocated for Ayodhya Conservation and Development Fund.
  • Rs 100 crore has been given for 'Ramotsav' 2023-24.
  • Rs 25 crore has been allocated for the development and expansion of the International Ramayana and Vedic Research Institute in Ayodhya.
  • The power sector received the largest share with an allocation of over Rs 10,000 crore.
