  • The agreement was signed by Dr S Jaishankar and Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.
  • This agreement will enable seamless movement of workers, students and professionals and will also address the challenges of illegal migration.
  • Apart from this, both the countries agreed that the potential in agricultural technology, innovation, space, defense and digital sectors should be exploited.
  • The two leaders also discussed in detail the situation in West Asia, the Ukraine conflict and the Indo-Pacific region.
