Prime Minister launches projects worth Rs. 2,000 Crores in Solapur, Maharashtra under the AMRUT initiative

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for 8 Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) projects in Solapur, Maharashtra, totaling around Rs. 2,000 crores.
  • Over 90,000 houses completed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in Maharashtra were dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister.
  • The dedication also included 15,000 houses of Raynagar Housing Society in Solapur, benefiting handloom workers, vendors, power loom workers, rag pickers, Bidi workers, drivers, and others.
  • The Prime Minister initiated the distribution of the 1st and 2nd installments to 10,000 beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors' AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM-SVANIDHI) in Maharashtra during the event.
  • PM Modi highlighted the nation's mood of devotion with the upcoming Pran Pratishtha at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
