President Kovind presents National Florence Nightingale Awards to 51 nurses, midwives

·         President Ram Nath Kovind presented the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award to 51 nurses and midwives across the country in recognition of the exemplary work done by them in the field of health.

·         The Indian Nursing Council under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India gives the award as a mark of recognition for exemplary service in the fields of public health and nursing education.

·         To acknowledge the contribution of nurses and midwives as advance COVID warriors, the number of award winners in this pandemic year has been increased from 35 to 51.
