Live Events Development Cell to Boost India’s Concert Economy

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has set up the Live Events Development Cell (LEDC) to support India’s rapidly growing concert economy. Constituted in July 2025, the single-window body aims to streamline approvals, boost employment, and promote tourism. India’s organised live events market, valued at ₹20,861 crore in 2024, is growing at 18% annually, with strong expansion beyond metros, positioning the country as a global live entertainment hub.
