लद्दाख पर्यटन विभाग और इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ एस्ट्रोफिजिक्स, बेंगलुरु के सहयोग से लेह में आयोजित लद्दाख का पहला एस्ट्रो टूरिज्म फेस्टिवल संपन्न हुआ। दो दिवसीय यह उत्सव लद्दाख को एक प्रमुख तारामंडल पर्यटन स्थल के रूप में विकसित करने की दिशा में पहल है। यहां का उच्च स्थल, शुष्क मौसम और न्यूनतम प्रकाश प्रदूषण इसे तारों की स्पष्टता हेतु उपयुक्त बनाते हैं।
