UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer was awarded the prestigious ‘Living Bridge’ honour for his key role in successfully concluding the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA/CETA). The award ceremony was held at the House of Lords, and Indian-origin UK Minister Seema Malhotra accepted the award on his behalf. The award, organised by the India Business Group (IBG), recognises individuals and organisations fostering India-UK cooperation in trade, culture, education, and diplomacy. This FTA aims to double bilateral trade to USD 120 billion by 2030, strengthening economic ties and promoting mutual growth under the leadership of Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Keir Starmer.
