'Jal Jeevan Mission App' launched on the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti

·       Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a newly designed “Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM)” mobile application on Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, 2021.

·       This mission ensures the functionality of existing water supply systems and water connections through the app which will monitor and test water quality as well as monitor sustainable agriculture.

·       JJM was launched in 2019 by the Union Ministry of Water to ensure a 100 percent functional tap water supply in rural areas by 2024.
