IPS Gyanendra Pratap Singh appointed as new director general of CRPF

  • Gyanendra Pratap Singh, a 1991 batch IPS officer and currently Director General (DGP) of Assam police, has been appointed as the new DG of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
  • He will take charge after the Republic Day 2025 celebrations in Assam. Singh's tenure lasts until November 30, 2027. Harmeet Singh is likely to be the next Assam DGP.
