अंतर्राष्ट्रीय शांति दिवस: 21 सितंबर

·         हर साल 21 सितंबर को दुनिया भर में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय शांति दिवस मनाया जाता है।

·         संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने इसे 24 घंटे अहिंसा और संघर्ष विराम के माध्यम से शांति के आदर्शों को मजबूत करने के लिए समर्पित दिन के रूप में घोषित किया है।

·         अंतर्राष्ट्रीय शांति दिवस के लिए 2021 की थीम "एक समान और सतत विश्व के लिए बेहतर पुनर्प्राप्ति" है।

महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य

इस दिन का इतिहास:

v  अंतर्राष्ट्रीय शांति दिवस की स्थापना 1981 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा द्वारा की गई थी।

v  दो दशक बाद, 2001 में, महासभा ने सर्वसम्मति से इस दिन को अहिंसा और संघर्ष विराम की अवधि के रूप में नामित करने के लिए मतदान किया।
