November 25 marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, highlighting global efforts to end gender-based violence. Established by the UN in 2000, the day launches the 16 Days of Activism from November 25 to December 10. In 2025, the theme “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls” underscores rising online threats such as harassment, cyberstalking, deepfakes, doxxing and misogynistic attacks, urging stronger laws and awareness worldwide.
