IndiaSkills National Competition 2025–26 Begins in Greater Noida

  • The IndiaSkills National Competition 2025–26 was inaugurated with a grand opening ceremony in Greater Noida. Organised by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and supported by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), the event brings together over 650 top-skilled youth from across India competing in 63 skill categories. These finalists emerged from five regional rounds after massive participation of over 3.65 lakh registrations from 36 States and Union Territories through the Skill India Digital Hub.
  • Smt. Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, MSDE, emphasised that skills define national identity and future strength. She highlighted IndiaSkills as a platform nurturing role models and preparing a strong team for the WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai 2026. The competition features both traditional and emerging skills like Cyber Security, Autonomous Mobile Robotics, and Industry 4.0, with strong industry collaboration involving over 200 partners. Winners will represent India at the global “Olympics of Skills,” reinforcing the vision of Viksit Bharat and a skilled workforce.
