Indian Army Contingent Departs for India-Egypt Joint Special Forces Exercise Cyclone-IV in Egypt

  • The Indian Army has sent a 25-member Special Forces contingent to Egypt for the fourth edition of the bilateral Exercise Cyclone-IV, scheduled from April 9 to 17, 2026, at Anshas. The exercise focuses on enhancing interoperability, joint mission planning, counter-terrorism operations, and desert warfare tactics in extreme conditions.
  • Held alternately in both countries, Cyclone-IV reflects the growing strategic defence partnership between India and Egypt, strengthening cooperation in regional security and operational synergy.
