India signs contract with Spain for acquisition of 56 C-295MW transport aircraft

·       India has signed a contract with Airbus Defense and Space Company of Spain for the acquisition of 56 C-295MW transport aircraft for the Indian Air Force.

·       It also signed an offset contract with Airbus Defense & Space.

·       These contracts were signed earlier this month following the approval given by the Cabinet Committee on Security.
