India sees 47.3% rise in fruit and vegetable exports in five years

  • In the last five years (2019-20 to 2023-24), India's exports of fruits and vegetables have increased by 47.3%, with a recorded increase of 41.5% in value, thanks to APEDA's financial assistance schemes.
  • India has started exporting fresh produce to 17 new markets, including Brazil, Georgia, Uganda, Papua New Guinea, the Czech Republic, and Ghana, and now Indian potatoes, onions, baby corn, pomegranates, and bananas are reaching new global destinations.
