India's economic growth rate in the second quarter of 2023 was 7.6%

  • Recently the Central Government released the figures of the country's economic growth rate.
  • These figures are for the second quarter of the financial year 2023-24.
  • Second quarter means from June to September.
  • According to this data, the country's economic growth rate in this second quarter has been 7.6%.
  • The main reason for the economy registering growth is the better performance of the manufacturing, mining and service sectors.
  • The country's economic growth rate in the first quarter of 2023-24 was 7.8%.
  • India is the fastest growing economy in the world with a growth rate of 7.6%.
  • Nominal GDP or gross domestic product at current prices in the second quarter of the year 2023-24 is estimated to be Rs 71.66 lakh crore.
  • Whereas in the second quarter of the year 2022-23 it was Rs 65.67 lakh crore.
