India Restarts Tourist Visa Services for Chinese Nationals After 5-Year Suspension Post-Galwan Standoff:

India has resumed the issuance of tourist visas to Chinese citizens after a five-year suspension following the 2020 Galwan Valley clashes. The Indian Embassy in Beijing made the announcement, which was welcomed by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a step toward mending bilateral relations. Applications can now be submitted online, with appointments available at Indian consulates in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. However, amid the warming ties, China dismissed concerns raised by India and Bangladesh regarding its dam construction on the Yarlung Tsangpo/Brahmaputra River in Tibet.
