India handed over Jayanagar-Kurtha railway link to Nepal

  • The Jayanagar-Kurtha railway link was officially handed over by India to the Nepalese government.
  • This rail link was built with funds provided by the Indian government.
  • In a brief ceremony, India's Ambassador to Nepal, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, handed over to Nepal's Minister of Transport and Physical Infrastructure, Renu Kumari Yadav, the documents for handing over the aforementioned railway link to Nepal Railway Company Limited.
  • It is expected to improve trade and commerce between the two countries as well as people-to-people ties.
