  • Hornbill festival gets its name from the hornbill bird.
  • This bird is considered sacred in the Naga tribe and is also mentioned in the mythology of the Nagas.
  • Assam has been selected as the partner state for this festival.
  • The United States, Germany and Colombia have been made partner countries.
