Hornbill Festival started in Nagaland recently

Recently the Hornbill Festival started in the north-eastern state of Nagaland.
Hornbill Festival was started in the year 2000.
The 24th edition of the Hornbill Festival is being celebrated in the year 2023.
Its objective is to integrate the cultural diversity of Naga tribes so that people from different backgrounds get an opportunity to learn from each other's culture and society.
Also, the country and the world can be introduced to the cultural richness of Naga society.
Hornbill festival gets its name from the hornbill bird.
This bird is considered sacred in the Naga tribe and is also mentioned in the mythology of the Nagas.
Assam has been selected as the partner state for this festival.
The United States, Germany and Colombia have been made partner countries.
