Gujarat to host seven major international sporting events in five years:

Gujarat will serve as the venue for seven international-level sporting events in Ahmedabad over the next five years, with three competitions scheduled in 2025 alone, according to a state government press note. Among them, the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship 2025 will take place at the newly built Naranpura Sports Complex from August 24–30, with 350 athletes from 29 countries participating. Soon after, the Asian Aquatics Championship 2025 will be held during September–October, drawing participation from top swimming nations including China, Japan, and Korea.
