Government appoints 10 merchant bankers to manage LIC's IPO

·         The Government of India has appointed 10 merchant bankers to manage the Initial Public Offering of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).

·         LIC's IPO is likely to launch in the January-March quarter of 2022.

·         In case of IPO, the role of merchant bankers is issue management, promotional activities, credit syndication, project counseling and portfolio management etc.
