Former CJI DY Chandrachud to release debut book ‘Why the Constitution Matters’ this August:

Former Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud, who retired in November 2024 as the country’s 50th CJI after over 25 years on the bench, is set to publish his debut book Why the Constitution Matters under Penguin Random House by the end of August 2025. Justice Chandrachud is widely respected for his landmark judgments upholding the Right to Privacy, decriminalisation of homosexuality, and gender equality in the armed forces. The book highlights the relevance of the Indian Constitution in the modern era.
