Donald Trump announces 26% 'concessional reciprocal tariff' on India

  • U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 26% tariff on goods imported from India. 
  • He said that India imposes tariffs of up to 52% on the U.S., while the U.S. collects much lower tariffs from India. 
  • This decision is part of the "Make America Wealthy Again" plan and tariffs have been imposed on several countries including China (34%), Vietnam (46%), and Japan (24%).
