  • Deepti Sharma's outstanding all-around performance, including taking 10 wickets and scoring crucial runs, led East Zone to a thrilling one-wicket victory over South Zone in the final of the Senior Women Inter Zonal Multi-Day Trophy 2023-24.
  • The final match, held at the Maharashtra Cricket Stadium in Pune, Maharashtra, saw East Zone successfully chase down South Zone's target of 184 runs within three days, with Deepti Sharma playing a pivotal role in the victory.
  • This tournament, organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), marked the return of red-ball cricket for domestic women's cricket in India after a hiatus since 2019. Six teams participated, with matches played at various venues including Pune Cricket Club Ground, D Y Patil Academy, and MCA Cricket Stadium Pune.
