'Cost of Living Index 2021' released by Economic Intelligence Unit

According to a report released by the Economic Intelligence Unit, Tel Aviv, Israel's capital, has become the most expensive city in the world to live in, as soaring inflation and supply-chain issues drive up prices worldwide.
The Israeli city topped the Economist Intelligence Unit's (EIU) study for the first time, Last year it was in fifth place.
Paris and Singapore are tied for second place, with Zurich and Hong Kong following in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
Damascus, Syria's war-torn capital, maintained its position as the world's cheapest city.
