  • According to a report released by the Economic Intelligence Unit, Tel Aviv, Israel's capital, has become the most expensive city in the world to live in, as soaring inflation and supply-chain issues drive up prices worldwide.
  • The Israeli city topped the Economist Intelligence Unit's (EIU) study for the first time, Last year it was in fifth place.
  • Paris and Singapore are tied for second place, with Zurich and Hong Kong following in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
  • Damascus, Syria's war-torn capital, maintained its position as the world's cheapest city.
