Corruption Perception Index 2021 released

India has been ranked 85th out of 180 countries in the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) 2021.
According to a report released by Transparency International, India's ranking has improved by one place compared to the last time.
A ranking of 180 countries and territories is compiled based on perceived levels of public sector corruption.
This ranking is determined using a scale of 0 to 100 points. Where the country getting zero marks is the most corrupt while the country getting 100 marks is considered very good from the point of view of corruption.
Denmark, Finland, New Zealand, and Norway topped the list with the highest scores. Except for Bhutan and China, all neighboring countries of India are below this.
