Centre launches ‘Entity Locker’ for efficient business document management

The Indian government launched 'Entity Locker,' a secure, cloud-based platform developed by NeGD under MeitY, to streamline business and organizational document management.
It provides 10 GB of encrypted storage, real-time access to government databases, Aadhaar-authenticated role-based access, and legally valid digital signatures.
As part of India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), Entity Locker connects seamlessly with systems like MCA, GSTN, and DGFT, aiding in vendor verification, MSME loan approvals, compliance processes, and corporate filings.
This initiative reduces administrative burdens, enhances transparency, and aligns with the Union Budget 2024-25 goals of improving ease of doing business.
