Bhajan Kaur wins gold to earn Paris quota

Bhajan Kaur secured a gold medal in the Final Olympic Qualifier by defeating Iran's Mobina Fallah with a score of 6-2. This victory earned India its second quota spot for the Paris 2024 Olympics in archery.
Kaur's journey was marked by successive victories over competitors from Mongolia, Slovenia, Poland, and Moldova, showcasing her dominant performance throughout the tournament.
India's archery teams faced mixed results in recent competitions. The men's team suffered a defeat against Mexico, while the women's team was unable to overcome Ukraine, highlighting the challenges faced by Indian archers in international tournaments.
These competitions serve as crucial preparation and learning opportunities as they aim to qualify and perform well at the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.
