  • ग्रैंडमास्टर बनने के लिए, एक खिलाड़ी को तीन जीएम मानदंडों को सुरक्षित करना होता है, और 2,500 एलो पॉइंट्स की लाइव रेटिंग को पार करना होता है।
  • आनंद ने अंतिम दौर में स्पेन के पांचवें नंबर के जीएम एडुआर्डो इटुरिजागा बोनेली (2619) के खिलाफ अपना खेल ड्रॉ करके बील में अपना तीसरा और अंतिम जीएम मानदंड हासिल किया था।
  • उन्होंने अपने पहले दो जीएम मानदंड सिटजेस ओपन (जनवरी 2022 में) और वेज़रकेप्सो जीएम राउंड रॉबिन (मार्च 2022) टूर्नामेंट में पूरा कर लिए थे।
