Bank of Baroda Launches AI-Powered ‘bob SAMVAD’ Multilingual Platform

  • Bank of Baroda launched ‘bob SAMVAD’, an in-house AI-powered multilingual conversational platform, in Mumbai on March 28, 2026.
  • It was formally launched by Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services.
  • The platform enables real-time, low-latency two-way communication in 22 Indian languages at bank branches.
  • It eliminates language barriers by instantly translating conversations between customers and staff.
  • In the first phase, it will be rolled out in 250 branches across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
  • The initiative aims to make banking more inclusive and customer-friendly.
